Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a white bubble and how that influenced the way she cared for her adoptive, multiracial children. In an interview with she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her. But after talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different their lives were. I asked Meg if when she was out with her parents, she received a certain treatment while out on her own she got a completely different one. Meg replied "Oh yes! All the all the time!" This made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to her parents. The actor said she became frustrated, but decided to channel that energy in order to assist adopt her daughters. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, then Adalaide aged 8 who is now older and was Black as of 2012.
